Physics

This Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in Physics 36XF course leads to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). It is identical to the University of Reading’s course F3X1.

Applicants to our course will be interviewed by The Bracknell Forest Partnership and, if successful, train in two of our ITE Hub schools. They will  become members of the University and follow the same training as the University students.

Across the consortium we have excellent facilities for Physics teaching; it is a popular subject at GCSE and A-level. As a science teacher, you are likely to have the opportunity to teach Physics, Biology and Chemistry to Key Stage 3 students and mostly Physics at Key stage 4.

As our partnership schools all include 6th forms, you will have the chance to experience working with all key stages, giving you a range of teaching experiences and opening up a variety of career paths. Our pupils have opportunities to further develop their interest in Physics, for example taking part in annual challenges and inter-schools competitions, or you might join them for engineering clubs.

If you love physics and enjoy the challenge of expanding your experience in all aspects of science we would love you to come and work with us in our dynamic, imaginative teams.
